Moissanite G-SHOCK Bezels: Stones, Fit and Care

Short answer

A moissanite G-SHOCK bezel is an aftermarket replacement bezel — ours are set with VVS moissanite, a lab-created gem with more fire than diamond — made for one specific base model such as the GA-2100, DW-5600 or GW-6900. Check your case-back model number before ordering; the watch and installation are not included.

What “moissanite” and “VVS” mean

Moissanite is a lab-created gemstone (silicon carbide). It rates 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, harder than sapphire, and its dispersion — the rainbow flashes called fire — is more than twice that of diamond. VVS (“very, very slightly included”) describes stones with inclusions that are extremely difficult to see under magnification — which is what gives a pavé bezel its clean, bright sparkle.

How to check compatibility

Turn your watch over and read the model number on the case back. A GA-2100 bezel is designed for the GA-2100 case; a GW-6900 bezel is designed for the GW-6900. Fit can vary between sub-models, so message us if you are unsure.

Caring for an iced-out bezel

Treat it like fine jewelry.

  • Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear.
  • Avoid perfume, chlorine and harsh cleaners.
  • Store separately so stones do not scratch other pieces.

FAQ

Does the bezel come installed on a watch?

No. Bezels are sold separately; the watch, strap and installation are not included.

Is moissanite the same as diamond?

No. Moissanite is a distinct lab-grown gemstone (silicon carbide) valued for its hardness and brilliance.
